The original Fishin' Shedd building as shown was built in 1967,
doors opened April 1st 1968. In the early years of operation basic inventory
consisted of bait, tackle, groceries and gas. As years progressed boat and motor
rentals, sales and service were added and continued until fall of 1992, at that
time a complete and new gasoline facility was added due to very heavy
demand for increased service and supply. At this time the boat rental facility
was turned over to my son and was moved to Paynetown State Recreation Area.
Currently all the family is involved with some aspect of the business including
Outback Marine. |
